More Homes For Families In Alphington

VIC Premier

Across Victoria, Millennials and young families are locked out of the housing market.

That's why Labor is delivering affordable homes on underutilised sites, near transport, services and jobs.

Minister Shing today announced Nightingale Housing will build 70 homes on a former rail spur in Alphington.

Delivered under the Allan Labor Government's landmark Small Sites program, seven of the properties will be affordable homes for women and children.

Featuring a pocket park and a new pedestrian and cycling connection between Grange Road, Hamilton Street and Railway Place, families will be able to walk or cycle to local shops, transport, schools and work.

Every Victorian family deserves to have a roof over their head. Labor is taking action to deliver homes right across Victoria, including up to 1,000 homes across 14 sites in the Small Sites Program.
