More Than 3,500 Homes Declared State Significant

NSW Gov

A further 17 projects have been declared as State Significant Development (SSD) following recommendations from the Housing Delivery Authority (HDA).

Of the declared proposals, 14 are in metropolitan Sydney and 3 are in regional New South Wales.

If all are lodged and approved, this could create more than 3,500 homes including affordable housing across New South Wales.

To date, on the recommendation of the HDA 390 proposals have been declared SSD, which would create more than 128,000 homes.

Ten of these proposals have been approved, unlocking more than 2000 homes.

State Significant Development applications have been lodged for 62 projects representing around 23,000 potential homes.

Recommendations from the HDA are published as required under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 before the SSD declaration.
