The union representing parliamentary workers including political staffers, the CPSU, has today released its sweeping recommendations to the Independent Review into Commonwealth Parliamentary Workplaces (Jenkins Independent Review) in order to make Parliament a safer workplace.
The Morrison Government must immediately and comprehensively act to better prevent and respond to the systemic sexual harassment and assault, bullying, harassment, and discrimination that permeates the Commonwealth Parliament and MoP(S) Act workplaces.
The CPSU recommends:
- All Parliamentary Departments should adopt a pro-active, holistic and victim-centric approach as recommended by the AHRC;
