Motorcyclist dies in crash at Bathurst

A motorcyclist has died in a collision in the state's Central Tablelands this morning.

About 9.30am (Wednesday 29 April 2020), emergency services were called to Ophir Road, Bathurst, after reports of a crash.

Officers from Chifley Police District have been told the motorcyclist was travelling west when she collided with a ute.

The woman, believed to be aged in her late 30s, died at the scene.

The driver of the ute, a man believed to be aged in his 50s, was uninjured. He was taken to Bathurst Hospital for mandatory testing.

Inquiries continue and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
