A motorcyclist has died after his bike left the road and hit a road sign south of Tamworth this afternoon.
Police believe the 26-year-old man was riding with another motorcyclist along Hanging Rock Road at Nundle, 60km south of Tamworth, about 1pm (Tuesday 8 January 2019), when the crash occurred.
The rider died at the scene.
Inquiries are continuing.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
