Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Southbank this evening.
Emergency services were called to the Kings Way on ramp of the Westgate Freeway about 4.50pm after reports of a collision between a truck and motorcycle.
The male motorcyclist died at the scene.
The driver of the truck stopped after the crash and is speaking with police.
West bound lanes on the freeway are currently blocked and drivers are advised to seek an alternate route.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
