Motorcyclist injured - Peakhurst

A motorcyclist has been critically injured after hitting a power pole in Sydney's south overnight.

Emergency services were called to Lorraine Street at Peakhurst about 7.50pm (Monday 4 January 2021), and found a 43-year-old man lying injured in the street.

Residents had performed CPR before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and took the man to St George Hospital where he's reported to be in a critical but stable condition suffering spinal and internal injuries,

Officers from St George Police Area Command attended, with initial inquiries indicating the rider was thrown 10m onto the road after losing control of his bike and hitting a power pole.
