A man has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of another man south of Wollongong overnight.
Emergency services attended a home on McCabe Street at Warilla just after 2am (Saturday 2 July 2022) after receiving reports of a domestic related assault.
A 46-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds; he died en route to hospital.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the man's death.
A 26-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where he has been charged with murder.
He was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Bail Court tomorrow (Sunday 3 July 2022).
