Nagambie Deep Water Boat Ramp Opening

Strathbogie Shire Council yesterday opened the new deep water boat ramp at the Goulburn River, providing better and safer access to the waterways for boating and fishing.

The new boat ramp will provide free 24-hour access to the river, including new car and trailer parking, and was officially opened with Katherine Grech, the Director of Better Boating Victoria.

The $494,795 project included a $100,000 contribution from Council, a $100,000 donation of the cost of the land from the Ryan family and a contribution of $294,795 from Department of Transport.

This comes after a recent announcement of the abolition of boat ramp fees at the Nagambie Lakes and Goulburn River, as part of the Labor Government's investment in boating and fishing across the state.
