Nanga Brook Bushfire

Strike Force Vulcan officers are currently investigating the cause of a bushfire in Nanga Brook located within Lane Poole Reserve, Waroona.

The bushfire on Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions land was reported about 12.15pm on Saturday 23 March 2024. The fire spread quickly fanned by strong winds and so far, approximately 1784 hectares of bushland has been burnt.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel are on scene and managing the fire.

At this time, the cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and Strike Force Vulcan officers urge anyone with any information relating to this fire, or who saw any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity in the area, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
