National Science Week at Australian Maritime Museum

Australian National Maritime Museum

This National Science Week (9-17 August), join the Australian National Maritime Museum in a deep dive into the science of the ocean. Enjoy interactive events, special talks, exhibitions and experiments about ocean exploration and technology, underwater environments, the animals that inhabit them, and the ways in which we can protect and conserve our marine landscapes.

The Museum will host a range of activities both online and in-person for students of all ages, the community, and families, so that Science Week can be enjoyed by all.

At the Museum, students will be able to enjoy sails on Sydney Harbour where they will learn the practical applications of mathematics on a tallship, an engaging discussion with industry experts on the effects of plastic on our environment, and an inspiring speaker session, including some of Australia's top ocean scientists and the Royal Australian Navy, about careers in STEM.
