National Tree Day 2023: Bayside

Bayside Council will celebrate National Tree Day with a free community planting at Coolibah Reserve in Bardwell Valley on Sunday 30 July.

The event, in collaboration with Planet Ark and Greater Sydney Landcare, will see Bayside staff and community members planting native, shrubs grasses and climbers around the Sydney Water sewage pumping station in the reserve.

The native plants will help to improve the amenity of the reserve and create more habitat for birds, reptiles, and insects.

Council will provide gloves, tools and equipment for planting, and snacks.

On the day, please wear closed in shoes, trousers, long sleeved shirt and hat, and bring your own drinking water.

This free event is suitable for children and is accessible for people with a disability.
