- 179 Western Australian organisations will share in more than $200,000 worth of funding from Lotterywest to help celebrate National Volunteer Week

The contributions of volunteers around Western Australia will be recognised and celebrated through a grants program to mark National Volunteer Week.
Acting Volunteering Minister Sue Ellery announced the recipients of the 2023 National Volunteer Week grants program.
From Broome in the north, to Esperance in the south, 179 organisations from across WA will share in $203,965 to help celebrate. View the 2023 Recipients.
Funded by Lotterywest and administered by Volunteering WA the grants program offers small grants of up to $1000 to organisations to both acknowledge the contributions of their volunteers and help raise awareness of the benefits of volunteering.
This year, the grants will help to fund:
- A 'laughing yoga' session for volunteers at Girl Guides WA;
- A Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea Party to celebrate volunteers at the Lions Club of Rockingham; and
- A 'Rainbow Volunteer Sundowner' hosted by Busselton Pride Alliance, where volunteers from LGBTQ+ groups in the South-West can meet and mingle.
National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia's largest annual celebration of volunteering with thousands of events and activities held across the country.
