It would be my pleasure to talk you through the National Weather Forecast for tomorrow, which will be Wednesday the 24th of June.
Pretty relaxed winter weather is in store for us tomorrow.
Very little rainfall across Australia, and even those places that are getting some rain tomorrow, it's only going to be light rainfall amounts.
One of the hallmarks of the winter that we've had so far has been that our high pressure regions have been extremely far to the south.
That has been stopping, or at least suppressing, the usual polar outbreaks and cold fronts that we see at this time of year, and instead bringing pretty mild and sunny weather across central and southern Australia.
And Wednesday is no different, with our big high pressure area here down in line with Tasmania.
That's something we typically see during summer or spring, less so during winter, and that's what's led to these unusually prolonged fine conditions.
Let's go state by state, starting in Queensland.
Another cool morning for Queensland. Inland parts down into the low single digits.
Coastal areas, the low double digits through the morning.
We will likely see sunshine almost statewide, including for the capital, Brisbane, here, a bright afternoon with a high of 22 °C.
When it comes to rainfall, a few spots could see some wet weather.
Certainly the north tropics, the Cairns to Cardwell coastline could get a bit of rain, but a couple of other areas where you just should be keeping an eye on the radar do include the Caloundra-Sunshine Coast area and the Gold Coast-Coolangatta region, where a few showers are possible.
A chilly start for New South Wales.
We're likely to see some frost and some subzero temperatures on the Great Dividing Range and the Slopes and Plains.
That includes Canberra, who has a forecast minimum of -3 °C.
Some fog around through the morning as well, but we will see most of the state tend to fine weather through the middle of the day.
For those along the east coast, including those of you in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong, a nice bright sunny day with temperatures in the upper teens.
But after sunset into the evening, a few showers will push onshore here due to an approaching coastal trough.
For Victoria, also some coastal showers, really right along the coast from Warrnambool and Portland down towards the Otways, the Surf Coast, Geelong, the Peninsulas, Cape Schanck, Wilsons Prom, and eventually the Gippsland coast as well.
All of these spots could get a touch of wet weather. Nothing heavy in the forecast, but certainly a few showers do look possible.
Could even see one or two get as far north as Melbourne, especially around the middle of the day. Anyone north of Melbourne should have a dry day for Wednesday.
Cold morning temperatures, could be frosty, could be foggy at first, but tend bright and fairly sunny through the second portion of Wednesday.
Maximum temperatures between 13 and 16 °C for most of the state.
Rainfall in Tasmania limited to the north-eastern corner.
Launceston across to St Helens, including the mountains up here, could get a shower morning or perhaps into early afternoon, but clear after that.
Everywhere else will have a very settled winter's day. Calm, not much wind.
Temperatures are slightly cool, between 10 and 13 °C across the state, and it will be mostly cloudy.
As for South Australia, we will also have some quite cool morning temperatures.
Murray Bridge kicking us off at 2 °C here, but most areas in the single digits through Wednesday morning.
A little bit of rainfall possible for a few areas, including the Lower South East, Kangaroo Island and maybe one or two showers for the west coast as well.
Adelaide should stay dry with a high of 16 °C.
There will be some cloud around in the morning that could be low cloud, fog and quite gloomy. That will clear up, but then a sheet of high cloud pushing through later on too.
Some very pleasant winter weather for Perth tomorrow. High of 21 °C and sunny skies. And really that forecast is the same right up and down the west coast.
Although of course temperatures are a bit warmer as you get up to the Gascoyne and Pilbara.
Cloud cover inland, with a few showers around the Eucla and southern interior.
And across northern Australia, the humidity not running too rampant at the moment, so these pleasant dry season conditions will continue in almost all areas, Darwin having a sunny high of 32 °C.
A couple of showers around the Nhulunbuy-Gove-East Arnhem Land area, with highs in the upper 20s, and temperatures range from the low single digits to nearly 20 °C through the Central Australian outback.
You can get more weather for Wednesday, or indeed for the rest of the week and weekend by finding your location on the BOM website or app.
Thank you so much for watching and have a wonderful day!
