Taking a look at tomorrow's weather map, we can see a low pressure trough across inland parts of Western Australia, generating some strong winds and the risk of some dry thunderstorms out west. We've got another low pressure trough lying across the north-east of the country, producing the risk of storms across much of Queensland once again. That risk of storms will also continue across the tropical north of the country.
In the south-east, we're looking at much more settled conditions tomorrow thanks to this high pressure system, which will be moving out over the Tasman Sea.
Thunderstorms are a risk across much of Queensland once again tomorrow, particularly across those interior districts, central areas and the southern inland. For the most part, we're not expecting too much rainfall with any storms that do develop, although they could produce gusty winds.
The exception to the rainfall will be the Maranoa and Warrego, which could see some locally heavy falls with storms tomorrow. That may lead to flash flooding. Along the east coast, we're not expecting thunderstorms tomorrow, although we could see some isolated showers pushing up the coast. Once again not expected to bring too much rain to the gauges.
For Brisbane tomorrow, it will be a partly cloudy day, with a slight chance of a shower and a top of 27 °C forecast.
We are looking at the chance of some morning fog across the south coast and the chance of morning frost across some of those southern and central slopes. Then it's going to be a warm, dry and fairly sunny day across New South Wales.
There is a slight chance of a shower in the far north-east of the state, as well as some mostly dry thunderstorms through the northern inland. For Sydney tomorrow, we are looking at a sunny day with a top of 26 °C. Down in Canberra, sunny with a top of 26 °C as well.
In Victoria tomorrow, we are expecting mostly settled conditions, with the chance of morning fog across much of the state. Frost is a risk across the northern inland areas. Then it will be warm, dry and sunny for Victoria.
Melbourne is heading for a sunny top of 23 °C.
In Tasmania tomorrow, it will be a windy start to our Wednesday, particularly across those southern parts of the state. A Severe Weather Warning for damaging winds is current for that risk tomorrow morning, but the risk of strong winds will be easing back later in the day.
Otherwise, we're looking at partly cloudy skies through the west with a few showers there. It will be drier and at times a bit sunnier through the east. For Hobart, a mostly cloudy day with a top of 19 °C.
In South Australia tomorrow, the chance of morning fog across some of those south-eastern areas. Then it will be a hot, dry and fairly sunny day.
That hot weather will be particularly intense across the far west, where we could see temperatures approaching 40 °C across those inland areas. We may also see a dry thunderstorm or two out west through our Wednesday.
For Adelaide, we are heading for a sunny day with a top of 28 °C.
In Western Australia tomorrow, a low pressure trough is moving across inland areas. Ahead of that trough, hot conditions, high fire danger and strong winds are building.
We're also likely to see the chance of thunderstorms developing through the afternoon, pushing down through the interior but also potentially impacting parts of the Goldfields, Pilbara and Gascoyne as well.
Now thunderstorms are unlikely to bring much rain to the gauges, but we could see some gusty winds, particularly across the southern interior tomorrow.
Through the south-west of the state, it will be a little bit more settled, just a slight chance of a shower about the south-west coast. For Perth, it will be a dry day, however partly cloudy, with a top of 23 °C.
In the Northern Territory tomorrow, hot and humid in the north with showers and thunderstorms a risk once again. That risk will extend all the way west into the Kimberley as well.
Rainfall totals will be hit and miss where those storms develop, but we could see some locally heavy falls that may lead to flash flooding across parts of the Carpentaria district. Across southern parts of the territory, drier and sunny conditions are expected.
For Darwin though a shower or two, possible thunderstorm, with a top of 35 °C.
