New 24/7 Baldivis Police Station Open To Community

  • $26.7 million contemporary and improved facility to boost community safety
  • New station to accommodate up to 100 full-time equivalent police officers in the future
  • Opening of this new station delivers on election commitment

The Cook Labor Government and Western Australian Police Force have officially opened the new Baldivis Police Station, boosting community safety in the area and giving the suburb a greater police presence.

The new state-of-the-art Baldivis Police Station, located on the corner of Nairn Drive and Sherry Street, will address the rapidly growing community and add capacity between the Rockingham and Mandurah police stations.

Baldivis Station will operate 24/7 and be accessible to the public between 8am and 4pm every weekday.

The new station, which includes a modern custodial area and equipment for processing offenders, has capacity to grow to 100 full-time equivalent sworn officers in the future.

This station has been built with a sustainable approach featuring solar panels and battery storage, that help offset most of its daytime energy use.

Baldivis Police Station will become the hub for the new Baldivis Police Sub-District including the suburbs of Baldivis, Golden Bay, Karnup, Keralup, Secret Harbour and Singleton within the Mandurah Police District.

This $26.7 million facility follows the opening of Forrestfield Police Station last month, delivering on two key election commitments.

As stated by Premier Roger Cook:

"My government has a commitment to protect the Western Australian community, and this new Baldivis Police Station will do just that.

"Having raised my family in Wellard, I've seen how quickly the area is growing, and this multimillion-dollar facility has room to grow with the community, with capacity for up to 100 officers.

"Baldivis and the surrounding community are in safe hands and can rely on police who will be nearby to help anytime of the day or night."

As stated by Police Minister and Baldivis MLA Reece Whitby:

"This new Baldivis Police Station is one of the best and most technologically advanced stations in the country to keep our rapidly growing community safe.

"As the Member for Baldivis since 2017, I'm so proud to deliver this election commitment, that will help protect the local and surrounding community.

"I've watched the development of this project from start to finish and now it's complete, the Baldivis community can trust officers are closer to respond than ever before.

"Policing in Western Australia continues to evolve, and with this new station, officers will have the capacity to deliver police services in a modern custodial area with enhanced equipment for processing offenders."
