New AI Guide For Scientists May Foster Research

Employees of the Bibliographic Information Center of the TSU Research Library prepared a Guide to AI Tools for Researchers. It contains useful services that will help researchers minimize routine tasks and focus on their research.

All services are structured in accordance with research stages. On the main page, the user will find general information, which includes regulatory documents, catalogs of artificial intelligence tools, universal virtual assistants based on AI, scientific digests of TSU, expert materials.

The section "Search and analysis of research papers" contains searching tools, instructions, describes domestic developments - the Cybertide intellectual assistant, the INVENTORUS platform. Services from the "Image processing and editing", "Synthesis and speech recognition" will help in working with images and audio content. The section "Writing and design of research work" contains services for creating, editing and checking texts for unattributed borrowings. Another section is devoted to the promotion of research and communication.

- When creating the guide, we tried to find free resources that can be useful in research, - comments Lyudmila Sharinskaya, head of the reference and information service sector of the TSU Research Library. - The guide has its own peculiarity: it is doomed to continuous update. We regularly check the availability of sites, add new materials that we find in numerous catalogs and resource collections, and use the recommendations of colleagues. Bibliographer Anna Kasatkina is now compiling brief instructions to work with AI tools.

The guide will help you navigate the variety of AI capabilities to optimize research. It is available on the website of the TSU Research Library in the section "Researchers and Teachers".
