Ben Wilson has been appointed as the transitional Chief Executive Officer of Homes Tasmania for the next nine months as the Tasmanian Government continues to deliver more housing.
As one of the most impactful and influential leaders in Tasmania's building, construction and housing sectors, Mr Wilson will continue to build on the work and leadership shown during his time as Chair of the Homes Tasmania Board.
Minister for Housing and Planning, Kerry Vincent, welcomed Mr Wilson as the transitional CEO, saying it marked a new trajectory for Homes Tasmania.
"We need to be building more homes faster, and Mr Wilson is an expert in the industry," Minister Vincent said.
"Ben has a wealth of experience in the building and construction industry, social and affordable housing and also training the next generation of skilled tradies."
With Mr Wilson stepping down from the board to take on the CEO position, Sarah Courtney will move from her role as Director to take on the Chair of the Homes Tasmania Board for the remainder of her term.
Ms Courtney's experience and business acumen will ensure Homes Tasmania's future is one focused on delivery and financial sustainability.
Ms Courtney will be integral to implementing the recommendations from the Crawford review.
"Homes Tasmania's renewed focus following the Crawford review, and the appointment of such an experienced transitional CEO, places us in a strong position to deliver more homes for Tasmanians," Ms Courtney said.
Both Mr Wilson and Ms Courtney will commence their roles on Monday 16 February 2026.
"I know both Ben and Sarah will lead Homes Tasmania with passion and determination and I look forward to working with them both during the organisation's next chapter," Minister Vincent said.
