The Albanese Labor Government has today announced the appointment of Mr Michael Ebeid AM as Chair of the Screen Australia Board, and the reappointment of Ms Megan Brownlow as Deputy Chair.
Both appointees bring a wealth of industry experience to their roles.
Screen Australia is the Government's primary body that supports the development of a creative, innovative and commercially sustainable Australian production industry.

Michael Ebeid AM's extensive experience includes more than three decades in the media, technology, and telecommunications sectors. From 2011 to 2018, he was Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of SBS and was previously Group Executive at Telstra. In 2017, Mr Ebeid was made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the broadcast media and multicultural affairs. He is currently a non-executive director of the Sydney Opera House and BAI Communications. Mr Ebeid was appointed as a member of the Screen Australia Board on 14 July 2023.
Megan Brownlow has over 25 years' experience in media and marketing. Ms Brownlow is currently the Principal of Housten consulting and was previously a partner with PWC and the National Leader of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Industry Practice. As well as being Deputy Chair and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee for Screen Australia, Megan is Deputy Chair of the Media Federation of Australia, Chair of the Industry Advisory Board for the School of Communications, UTS and a non-executive director of video technology company Atomos (ASX:AMS). Ms Brownlow has served as Deputy Chair of the Screen Australia Board since 14 March 2017.
