Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan today announced the appointment of David Mack as chairperson of the Kimberley Development Commission.
Mr Mack brings extensive commercial, financial and property development experience as the founding partner of Mack & Co Chartered Accountants and currently is a Partner and Financial Advisor at Plummers Industries Pty Ltd.
Mr Mack has recently served as an independent director for the MG Community Foundation Trust, MG Developments Trust and MGC Building and Maintenance, working closely with Miriuwung and Gajerrong people to develop a strong economic base for the community by pursuing an inclusive economic development agenda, while protecting and enhancing indigenous culture and heritage.
Mr Mack replaces outgoing chairperson James Brown after nearly three years in the role.
As stated by Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan:
"At the wheel of the Kimberley Development Commission, David will help drive the McGowan Government's commitment to Aboriginal economic development, regional diversification, economic growth and local jobs.
"David's strong commercial and development background coupled with his recent work with MG Corporation ensures he is well placed to drive development in the Kimberley.
"I extend my great appreciation to outgoing chairperson James Brown for his years of service to the Commission and his tremendous ongoing contribution to the Kimberley development agenda."
