New Chargé d'Affaires Appointed for British Embassy Venezuela: Colin Dick OBE

Mr Colin Dick OBE has been appointed British Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the British Embassy in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Mr Dick will take up his appointment during August 2023. He takes over from Ms Becks Buckingham OBE, who has been serving as Chargé d'Affaires ad interim since August 2021.

Colin is a member of HM Diplomatic Service. He has served at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in London, including as Private Secretary to an FCDO Minister and as Head of its EU Exit Strategy Department, and in the Cabinet Office. He has had previous postings to Singapore, Brazil and Barbados, where he was Deputy High Commissioner and, later, Chargé D'Affaires.
