Seniors and Ageing Minister Don Punch has today launched the second edition of the Goldfields Seniors Discount Directory to assist older Western Australians with the cost of living.

The 2024-25 Goldfields Seniors Discount Directory features discounts from 63 local businesses and helps connects seniors with important support services and community groups in their area.

The Goldfields Directory is a joint initiative between Kalgoorlie MLA Ali Kent, Member for Mining and Pastoral Region MLC Kyle McGinn, Rotary Club of Kalgoorlie and the Kalgoorlie Miner.

It complements the WA Seniors Card Discount Directory, which offers exclusive discounts on goods and services from hundreds of participating businesses across the State.

The second edition builds on the success of the inaugural 2022-23 Goldfields Seniors Discount Directory, with many new businesses on board.

The Directory is available to WA Seniors Card members and will be circulated in the Saturday, 6 April edition of the Kalgoorlie Miner. Additional copies will also be available from the offices of Ali Kent MLA and Kyle McGinn MLC.

The WA Seniors Card program, an initiative by the State Government, is the most valuable program of its kind in Australia and offers members a valuable range of concessions, rebates and discounts to assist with the cost of living.

The benefits include free or concession rate travel on Transperth services and annual rebates for rates, the emergency services levy and water rates.

WA Seniors Card members can also access exclusive discounts through the 2023-24 Discount Directory, with the next edition due to be released in July 2024.

The WA Seniors Card program is free and available to Western Australians aged 65 years or older, who work less than 25 hours a week and are an Australia Citizen or hold an Australian Permanent Resident Visa.Visit www.seniorscard.wa.gov.au for more information.
