New Head to Health adult service for Armadale

Department of Health

The people of Armadale and surrounding areas have access to free, quality mental health support with a new Head to Health adult mental health service now open.

Adults can access this new service by visiting the centre at 65 Church Avenue, Armadale or making a free call to Head to Health on 1800 595 212. No GP referral is needed to access support.

Head to Health provides a safe and welcoming place for adults to access mental health information, services, and support delivered by multidisciplinary care teams over extended hours, without needing a prior appointment or paying a fee.

Services include immediate support and follow-up for people presenting in crisis, as well as short to medium term care for people with moderate to severe mental health needs.

Fully funded by the Australian Government, Armadale Head to Health was commissioned by the Western Australia Primary Health Alliance and is operated by St John of God Social Outreach.

Armadale Head to Health will provide mental health support for a growing community and will complement existing services in Gosnells, Midland and Mirrabooka. A further Head to Health Centre is currently being established in Northam and is expected to open its doors in late 2024.
