Two more homes for essential government workers have recently been completed in the Pilbara town of Roebourne.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom modular homes have been built to a Silver Livable Housing standard by Quality Builders for regional State Government staff and their families.
The Government Regional Officer Housing (GROH) program plays a vital role in ensuring that regional Western Australian communities have access to critical services, by ensuring that essential government workers have a place to call home.
The 2025-2026 State Budget included $103.8 million to double the GROH construction program, delivering over 100 additional GROH homes across the State.
This commitment includes funding to acquire land for the GROH program to continue construction.
Since 2021, the Cook Labor Government has committed nearly $430 million in new Government Regional Officer Housing and refurbishing existing stock.
