  • Growing demand for residential housing in Kalgoorlie-Boulder met with new land releases and homes
  • 31 new single residential lots to be constructed at GreenView at Karlkurla estate
  • Recent sale of Lot 205 at GreenView for 23 new terraced homes
  • New housing options are being opened up in Kalgoorlie-Boulder with the construction of 31 new residential lots in the family-friendly GreenView at Karlkurla residential estate.

Civil works will commence in the coming months to deliver the new lots, ranging in size from 544sqm to 888sqm, in Stage 3 of the estate.

About 20 local workers will be based onsite to prepare earthworks, drainage, electrical and retaining work, with lots expected to be released for sale later this year.

The development follows the recent sale of Lot 205 Aslett Drive in GreenView at Karlkurla.

A proposal to develop the 6,011sqm site into 23 three-bedroom, two-bathroom terraced homes will shortly be submitted to the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder for approval.

Construction of the new homes will create about 20 local jobs and is expected to commence in the coming weeks, subject to development and building approvals.

As stated by Lands Minister Tony Buti:

"The development of more residential housing options in family-friendly estates like GreenView at Karlkurla is a great result for Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

"This development is just one more critical pillar of support for ongoing economic growth and local job creation in our State's regional areas.

"Proceeding with the development of Stage 3 at Greenview will now ensure the opportunity for more housing choices to be available to support the continued growth of the Kalgoorlie community."

As stated by Housing Minister John Carey:

"I am acutely aware of the need for more housing across the State and a key factor is improving the availability and affordability of residential lots to get more homes into the market.

"The McGowan Government continues to put in place a range of measures to drive an increase in housing stock and assist more people to become home owners."

As stated by Kalgoorlie MLA Ali Kent:

"As the member for Kalgoorlie, this is a tremendous outcome and will create more diverse housing options for Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

"Kalgoorlie-Boulder is booming and it is fantastic the McGowan Government is taking decisive action to address the housing demand of the area."
