This month marks Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month and new signage outside the Fortitude Valley Police Station sends the message that violence of this sort will not be tolerated, Queensland Police say.
Domestic and family violence is never acceptable and everyone has the right to feel safe and supported.
Police rely on the community to report incidences of domestic and family violence so that they can be investigated and those affected can be provided the support they need.
Members of Charlie Team Fortitude Valley are taking up the challenge to put an end to domestic and family violence.
Police would like to thank those in the community who have reported information in the past and encourage that line of communication to stay open.
Fortitude Valley Police hope to continue to strengthen their relationship with the community and work together to help prevent domestic and family violence and support those affected.
