Nillumbik Leaders Celebrate Diversity with New Program

The new Nillumbik Leaders Program is designed to inspire, support and upskill Nillumbik community members to become effective leaders.

Expressions of interest open today, with 15 places on offer.

Nillumbik Mayor Ben Ramcharan said "this program is a fantastic opportunity to foster leadership in our Nillumbik community members, empowering them to become effective leaders."

The program aims to establish a robust network of leaders and stakeholders within the community, while promoting diversity and inclusivity.

"Groups inclusive of all genders, age groups, abilities, Aboriginality, cultures, language backgrounds, sexual orientations, education and employment status are encouraged to apply," Cr Ramcharan said.

The program will be delivered from August to December and consists of eight sessions held at Hurstbridge Community Hub, fortnightly on Wednesday evenings from 6pm – 9pm.
