Young people between the ages of 12 and 24 will have a chance to show off their talents at next month's Youth Market.

The market is being held in Sturt Park between 4pm-6pm on April 18 to mark 2026 NSW Youth Week, with this year's theme titled "Dream. Dare. Do.".

Young people are encouraged to showcase their abilities by hosting an art or craft stall, or nominating to perform on the day.

In addition to stalls and live music, the market will also feature free laser tag along with a BBQ and cold drinks.

Echo Lanes and Bowden McCallister will be supporting the event by providing musical equipment, technical support, and a live performance.

Council's Community Development Coordinator, Rachel Merton, said the Youth Market has continued to grow in popularity since it was first established in 2024, and encouraged anyone interested to take part.

"We have so many talented young people in the city, people of all ages love coming along on the day to see what our youth can do," said Ms Merton.

"Whether you'd like to perform, sell a few items you've made, or just have a small exhibition of your work for fun, there's lots of flexibility on the day.

"We'd also encourage school SRC groups to get involved by hosting cake stalls as fundraisers, as it's a perfect day to raise funds for events such as school proms and formals."
