Northam Detectives Charge Man for Child Sexual Offences

Northam Detectives have arrested a 67-year-old man with nine offences as part of an ongoing investigation into child abuse allegations.

It is alleged between May 2021 and June 2022, the man committed offences against two boys and a girl who were aged between 9 and 15 years old at the time of the first offence.

The 67-year-old man from Quairading has been charged with:-

• Four counts of Indecent Dealings with a Child under 13 years;

• Two counts of Indecently Deals with a Child over 13 under 16 years;

• One count of Attempted to Procure, Encourage or Incite a Child under 13 years to do an Indecent Act;

• One count of Child under 16: Persistent Sexual Conduct With; and

• One count of (Att) Encourages Child over 16 years under their Care to Engage in Sexual Behaviour.

He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 29 March 2023.
