The City of Perth has renewed its partnership with Pride WA, following their successful bid to occupy Northbridge Piazza until 2030.
This ensures the Piazza will remain WA's LGBTQIA+ community headquarters - a vibrant space that celebrates diversity and inclusion at the heart of the City.
The Piazza is the heart and soul of Northbridge and rainbow events and activities will continue to light up the space over the next five years – including PrideFEST and the Gay Games 2030, should Perth's bid be successful.
The Gay Games is the world's largest LGBTQIA+ sports and culture event, bringing together local, national and international participants and spectators for a 10-day celebration of sport, culture and entertainment. The winning city for 2030 will be announced in October.
To further support Perth's LGBTQIA+ community, in 2024 Council approved a three-year sponsorship of PrideFEST totalling $1.029M – one of the City's keystone celebrations, with the Piazza at its centre.
A proud supporter of the Perth Pride Parade since 2018, the City of Perth looks forward to working closely with Pride WA as Northbridge's Pride Piazza continues to thrive.
