The Norwood Parade Precinct Committee (NPPC) has welcomed eight independent members who will work alongside Mayor Robert Bria and four Councillors to promote The Parade as a destination to shop, dine and discover
The Members who were voted in during the Norwood Payneham & St Peters Council meeting are:
- Brigitte Zonta – Sanare Wellness;
- Hannah Waterson – Ooh La La Lash Boutique;
- Joshua Baldwin – Munro Property Group;
- Mario Boscaini – Parade Central Complex;
- Michael Zito – Mayhem Collectables;
- Rik Fisher – 30 Acres;
- Tom McClure – Grill’d Norwood and;
- William Swale – ortc Clothing Co.
Mayor Robert Bria – who is the Presiding Member of the Committee – said the new Members bring a wealth of experience from a range of sectors including retail, hospitality, real estate, health and beauty.
“As Adelaide’s premier main street, it is vital that The Parade is represented by people with vision and energy, and perhaps most importantly, people who are open to new ideas about how to maintain the vibrancy of the precinct,” Mayor Bria said.
“I am confident the Committee will hit the ground running and make significant contributions on behalf of their fellow traders and property owners.
Also appointed to the Committee are recently elected Councillors, Victoria McFarlane and Josh Robinson, who join re-elected Members, John Callisto and Sue Whitington and Mayor Bria.
“Victoria and Josh are great new additions to the Committee and I am really looking forward to their contribution,” said Mayor Bria.
The key role of the NPPC is to work to support, educate and facilitate a healthy, vibrant business community with an emphasis on placemaking for the enhancement of The Parade.
The Committee is tasked with helping to drive the economic prosperity of The Parade, Norwood.
The NPPC also facilitates networking and communication between The Parade business community and the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.
