Two new cases were acquired overseas, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 5,020.

There were 9,727 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day's total of 11,594.

NSW Health thanks the community for their excellent response in coming forward for testing and following public health advice.

With new cases being regularly detected among overseas arrivals, there is still a risk of COVID-19 spreading into the NSW community. It is important that everyone continues to watch out for any signs that could indicate COVID-19 and to come forward for testing if they have even the mildest of symptoms.

NSW Health is treating 54 COVID-19 cases, one of whom is in intensive care but does not require a ventilator. Most cases (93 per cent) are being treated in non-acute, out-of-hospital care, including returned travellers in the Special Health Accommodation

There are more than 350 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit COVID-19 clinics or contact your GP.
