NSW man dies at 'rave' near Grafton

Police are investigating the death of a man at an unauthorised ‘rave’ near Grafton, NSW Police say.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command became aware of the event being held on private property on Blacksmith Shop Road at Newton Boyd this long weekend.

It’s estimated about 2500 people are attending.

Just after 2pm today, emergency services were called to the property where a man in his 20s was found deceased in a vehicle.

Detectives have established a crime scene at the property which continues to be forensically examined.

Despite police requesting organisers to shut the event down, it continues.

Inquiries into the man’s death continue and police will monitor the situation overnight.
