NSW police search for escapees in state's west

Police are appealing for the public to not approach two men who escaped from a correctional centre in the state’s west yesterday, NSW Police say.

Geoffrey Fieldsend, 30; and Richard Reginald Pretty, 29, were last seen at the minimum-security correctional centre on Mitchell Street, Ivanhoe, about 6pm today.

The pair was noticed missing immediately, and a search was initiated.

Police from Broken Hill Local Area Command have warned those who spot the pair, not to approach them, instead to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Geoffrey Fieldsend is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, with a slim build, short blond hair and was last seen wearing prison greens.

Richard Pretty is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of medium build, with short light-coloured hair, a short beard, and was also last seen wearing prison greens.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have two men matching these descriptions to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
