NSW Police Seek Missing Man Near QLD Border

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Elanora in Queensland.

Brian Fitzpatrick, aged 49, was last seen by a friend about 2.00pm on Tuesday 12 March 2024 at North Lakes Drive in Elanora, Queensland.

The following day (Wednesday 13 March 2024), police located a Toyota Prado 4WD registered to Brian abandoned at the intersection of Kennedy's Lane and the M1 Pacific Motorway at Ewingsdale, near Byron Bay.

A family member reported Brian as missing to officers from Tweed/Byron Police District on Thursday 14 March 2024, who immediately commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police hold serious concerns for Brian's welfare, as his disappearance is out of character.

Brian is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of medium build, medium complexion, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

It is not known what he was wearing at the time.
