NSW Threatened Species Committee June 2026 Rulings

The NSW Threatened Species Scientific Committee assesses which species are eligible for listing as threatened species.

Two plants have been listed as threatened species.

1. Pterostylis pedina

The orchid Pterostylis pedina has been listed as an endangered species.

Pterostylis pedina is currently known to occur within the Murrumbidgee subregion of the Riverina bioregion in south-west New South Wales. Pterostylis pedina was provisionally listed on an emergency basis as endangered on 17 January 2025.
