NT Youth Week 2022 Ambassadors Announced

Three inspiring young Territorians have been named as ambassadors for Northern Territory Youth Week 2022.

The annual celebration of young people across the NT - to be held from 4-14 April 2022 - provides opportunities for young Territorians to express ideas, raise concerns and attend drug and alcohol-free events.

The 2022 NTYW ambassadors are:

Izzy Craven is 17 years old and currently studying Year 12, while completing her Certificate III in Business with the Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment. Ms Craven is a creator, experienced in art, film, graphic design and animation who has been a member of the City of Palmerston's Youth Media Team and is involved in Launch Media through the City of Darwin.Jules Gabor is 16 years old and currently studying Year 10. Jules enjoys performing and writing and is enthusiastic about social justice. Ms Gabor is currently involved with Youth for Christ Darwin and the Peer Support Leader Training program at her school, while participating in Launch's skateboarding competitions.Chloe Ferguson is 17 years old and currently studying Year 11, while completing her Certificate III in Sports and Recreation. Ms Ferguson enjoys playing sports and is an active volunteer in her community through netball and St John Ambulance Cadets. She also promotes education to prevent bullying, especially amongst young people.

The ambassadors will assist in:

assessing the Youth Grant Rounds;providing input into NTYW merchandise and branding;promoting NTYW on various media platforms; andattending NTYW events and activities.

Activities and events will take place across the Territory, including Darwin, Palmerston and the rural area, Katherine, Roper Gulf, East and West Arnhem, Central Australia and the Barkly.

The Ambassadors will work closely with NT Youth Round Table members to ensure Youth Week is promoted extensively across all regions.

The NT Youth Week calendar of events will be available in late March 2022.
