Ocean Exploration Adventure at WA Museum Boola Bardip

A new major international exhibition designed for ocean lovers, museumgoers, and science enthusiasts, OceanXperiencehas opened today to raise awareness of the wonders of the world's oceans.

Visitors are invited to step aboard a replica experience of OceanXplorer, the advanced marine research vessel that features in the world-renowned National Geographic television series OceanXplorers.

OceanXperiencetransforms visitors into marine scientists, challenging them to conduct hands-on experiments and daring research missions using a range of experiential technologies.

Dropping anchor at the WA Museum Boola Bardip from 4 April to 11 October 2026, the exhibition welcomes explorers of all ages and abilities to be part of the cutting-edge research and technology driving international ocean exploration.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a display of the Western Australian Museum's own marine research, and an extensive public program of science-themed activities and live arts events.

OceanXperienceis a travelling exhibition produced and toured internationally by Flying Fish, based on the National Geographic seriesOceanXplorers, produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit and OceanX in association with Lightship Earth Productions.
