Officer charged - Northern Region 30 May

An officer has been charged over alleged domestic violence-related offences.

About 1pm yesterday (Monday 29 May 2023), officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District commenced an investigation, following reports of a domestic violence-related assault at a home on the Central Coast.

Following inquiries, a 27-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station about 7pm yesterday.

The senior constable, who is attached to a command in the North West Metropolitan Region, was charged with three counts of common assault, and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (domestic).

He was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court today (Tuesday 30 May 2023).

The officer's employment status is under review.
