Olympic Kingsway Hosts Australia Cup Doubleheader

  • Olympic Kingsway Sports Club to host Australia Cup 2025-26 double-header this month
  • Perth Glory, Melbourne Victory and Wellington Phoenix to play at Kingsway Reserve
  • WA Government grant helping club secure hosting duties for Round of 32 draw

Olympic Kingsway Sports Club will host A-League clubs, Melbourne Victory, Perth Glory and Wellington Phoenix after securing two Australia Cup games.

A $40,000 WA Government grant will support the transformation of Kingsway Reserve into a high-quality venue.

The grant supports temporary infrastructure to strengthen the reserve's capacity to host elite fixtures and deliver an outstanding matchday experience.

The Australia Cup pulls in teams from Australia's top division, A-League Men, with clubs from across the country's lower tiers.

Hundreds of clubs from across Australia will battle it out for the Australia Cup, with the winner progressing to the Asian Cup.

Olympic Kingsway are a regular fixture in the National Premier League, the second tier of football in WA, consisting of semi-professional players.

The Australia Cup 2025 Round of 32 is played over two weeks between Saturday, 19 July to Wednesday, 30 July.

Perth Glory face Wellington Phoenix on Sunday, 27 July followed by Olympic Kingsway and Melbourne Victory Tuesday, 29 July, both at Kingsway Reserve.

As stated by Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti:

"This investment is helping ensure Western Australia continues to deliver round ball events that excite and unite not only football fans, but sport fans across the board.

"The WA Government is proud to assist community sporting groups welcome some of the country's best footballers into the heartland of our grassroots community."
