Ongoing police search for Kerry White

An extensive search is ongoing in the Launceston area to locate 44-year-old Kerry Whiting who is wanted by police in relation to a very serious targeted crime last Thursday.

Anyone who sees Kerry is asked not to approach him and call Police immediately on Triple Zero (000).

"We are now into our sixth day of searching for Kerry and there is a real possibility someone is harbouring or assisting him," said Detective Inspector Mel Groves.

"If anyone is harbouring or assisting Kerry I urged them to reconsider their actions immediately and come forward, and to urge Kerry to come forward also."

If police identify someone as assisting or harbouring Kerry, they themselves may face the potential of charges.

"Police will continue to search for Kerry until we find him and bring this to a safe resolution," said Detective Inspector Groves.

"If anyone has information that would assist police but they are concerned about coming forwarding and being identified, police provide an assurance that information can be provided completely anonymously."

Information can be provided to police on 131 444.

Alternatively information can be provided completely anonymously to Crime Stoppers online at crimestopperstas.com.au or on 1800 333 000 – they don't need your name or personal details, just the information you can provide.
