Open Farm Day is back and better than ever at Edendale Community Environment Farm.

Locally based farmers, producers and growers will be on hand to share their wisdom about farming in the Green Wedge, with demonstrations, educational workshops and a range of incredible local products to buy.

The program on Saturday 18 March will be an opportunity to sample and purchase local produce including wine, coffee, baked goods, relishes, ice cream, mushrooms, eggs and gin.

Visitors can also meet the farm animals, attend workshops and be entertained with live music, face painting and more.

Nillumbik Mayor Ben Ramcharan said the free event is an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to see first-hand how exceptional our local producers are.

"We have a vast array of farmers and businesses in our local area that yield world-class quality produce," he said.

"Supporting sustainable local produce is a great way to reduce our carbon footprint and encourage healthy eating in our community.

"Come along and enjoy Edendale Farm, the perfect setting to meet these producers and learn how farming in Nillumbik works."

Join in the fun on Saturday 18 March, 10am to 4pm
