Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating a bushfire that occurred in Orelia around 2.30pm on Wednesday, 1 January 2020.
The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and it is believed the fire started in bushland on Wiggins Road. The fire was extinguished by Department of Fire and Emergency Services ground and air crews.
Any members of the public who were driving in the vicinity of Wiggins Road and Colchester Avenue in Orealia between 2pm and 3pm, who have dash-cam vision of the area is asked to come forward.
Anyone with information regarding this fire or who saw any suspicious people, or vehicles, in the vicinity of the fire, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au and callers may remain anonymous if they wish.
Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
