P-plate driver charged with high-range PCA after hitting parked car at Homebush

A provisional driver has been charged with high-range drink driving after allegedly hitting a parked car at Homebush overnight.

About 10.30pm (Thursday 2 July 2020), emergency services were called to Underwood Road, near Pomeroy Street, after reports a Mercedes SLK 200 travelling south hit an unoccupied parked Jeep Wrangler.

As a result of the crash, a parked Volkswagen Caddy was also damaged.

The Mercedes driver and sole occupant, a 24-year-old woman, was not injured.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command attended, and the woman was subjected to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.

She was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station where she was subjected to a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.173.

The Strathfield woman was issued a Court Attendance Notice for drive with high range PCA.

She is due to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 13 August 2020.
