Pair Charged With Attempted Murder in Frankston Attack

Detectives have charged two men after a man was allegedly assaulted in Frankston earlier this week.

Police were called to reports of an injured man at an address on Charon Court on Sunday, 7 June about 11pm.

It is understood a physical altercation occurred between three men outside the residence.

Two men then fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.

A 37-year-old Frankston man remains in hospital with critical injuries.

Two women in the residence at the time were not physically injured.

Today, investigators executed a search warrant at a Frankston address in relation to the incident.

Detectives located and seized a number of items including hatchets, an imitation firearm, knives and a baseball bat.

A 43-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with attempted murder and stalking.

A 52-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with attempted murder.

The pair will appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.

It is understood the parties are known to each other.
