A man has died in hospital following a crash in Sydney's north west yesterday.
About 12.35pm yesterday (Sunday 17 May 2026), emergency services were called to the intersection of Balmoral Road and T-Way, Bella Vista, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended and found that a Nissan sedan and bus had collided.
The driver of the Nissan, a 52-year-old man, and two passengers, a 20-year-old man and an 87-year-old man, were trapped for a short time.
After being released from the car, all three were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the bus – a 62-year-old man – was also trapped.
He was freed from bus and treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Police established a crime scene and an investigation into the circumstance of the crash commenced.
About 7.30pm yesterday (Sunday 17 May 2026), police were told the 87-year-old man had died in hospital.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
