Pedestrian dies after collapsing on car, South Australia

A man has died after falling onto a car at Melrose Park yesterday.

Just before midday on Wednesday 6 January, patrols were called a fast food restaurant on South Road, after an elderly man slipped on the kerbing before striking his head on a slow moving Toyota sedan which was exiting the drive through.

The 89-year-old man from Kingswood, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with minor injuries but sadly died late this morning. The circumstances surrounding this incident continue to be investigated and anyone who witnessed the event is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au

The man's death is the 4th life lost on our State's roads this year as compared to one for his time last year.
