Pedestrian Dies After Motorcycle Crash - Allawah

A man has died following a crash in Sydney's south.

About 6.45pm today (Friday 12 April 2024), emergency services were called to the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Barsbys Avenue, Allawah, following reports of a motorcycle and pedestrian crash.

The rider – a 30-year old man – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a serious leg injury and taken to St George Hospital in a stable condition.

The pedestrian – a man believed to be aged in his 70s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers attached to St George Police Area Command established a crime scene which is being forensically examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
