Pedestrian dies after North Melbourne collision

A pedestrian has died following a serious collision in North Melbourne on Monday, 18 April.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian near the intersection of Abbotsford and Arden streets about 8pm.

A 59-year-old St Leonards woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition, where she sadly died on Friday, 22 April.

The driver of the car, a 36-year-old Traralgon man, stopped at the scene, rendered assistance to the pedestrian and has spoken with investigators.

The exact circumstances have not yet been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
