Pedestrian dies in hospital after hit by car at Parramatta

A pedestrian has died in hospital after being hit by a car at Parramatta earlier this month.

Just after 3.30pm on Monday 14 September 2020, emergency services were called to the intersection of Argyle and Marsden streets, Parramatta, following reports a man had been struck by a Toyota sedan.

The pedestrian, a 55-year-old man, was treated at the scene for head injuries, before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

He died earlier today (Wednesday 30 September 2020).

The driver, a 34-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
